How Claimster Works

You are entitled to compensation if your flight is delayed by more than 3 hours, cancelled or you are denied boarding if the airline is to blame for the violation of your rights. The rule applies to flights departing from the EU or flights to the EU with a European carrier. The claim must be for the last 3 to 6 years (depending on the country).

The amount of compensation depends on the distance of the flight – between €250 and €600 per passenger. For flights up to 1,500 km, €250 is paid, up to 3,500 km – €400, and over 3,500 km – €600.

In most cases, the process is completed within 4 to 12 weeks. In case of complications or legal proceedings, the period may be extended, but we take care of all the communication and legal work for you.

If we are unable to obtain compensation for you, you owe nothing. We only receive a commission if the case is successfully concluded – the risk is entirely ours.

We buy your insurance claim against immediate payment. You transfer your rights to the claim against the insurer to us, receive money, and we take over the further management and collection of the amount.

When purchasing an insurance claim, we sign an assignment agreement (transfer of the claim against the insurer). Payment to you is made within two business days from the date of signing the agreement.

In the case of claims against an air carrier and with standard assistance in obtaining compensation, we transfer the amount within two business days of receiving it from the airline.

In so-called extraordinary circumstances – such as extreme weather conditions, political instability or third-party strikes – the airline may be exempted from its obligation to pay compensation. However, each case is considered individually, as airlines often invoke this clause improperly.

Yes. If you missed a connecting flight through no fault of your own and arrived at your final destination more than 3 hours late, you are entitled to compensation.

Your ticket or reservation, boarding pass and any communications from the airline regarding the delay or cancellation are required. The more documentation you provide, the stronger your claim. In order for us to represent you, you need to send us a signed power of attorney, which we will prepare for you. To verify the traveling person, the airline often also requires the presentation of an identity document with which the reservation was made (passport, ID card).

Each passenger you traveled with may be entitled to compensation. You need to provide us with information about each passenger. Adult passengers must sign a power of attorney so that we can represent them before the airline. Minors must sign a power of attorney together with a parent. Minors below 14 are represented by a parent who signs on their behalf.

Yes. An airline denial is not necessarily final. We review the case independently and take legal action if necessary. Airlines often make the process difficult – delaying or denying claims, making it a tedious process. That’s why we’re here.

We only charge upon successful completion of the case. Our fee is 25% of the compensation received and is deducted directly from it – you do not incur any upfront costs.
